The Century of the Self, is a documentary series written, directed and co-produced by Adam Curtis. Released in 2002 and distributed by BBC Four. It’s divided in four episodes of aprox. 60 mins.
It explores how the theories developed by Sigmund Freud were used by his nephew, Edward Bernays, to manipulate the masses. By linking mass produced goods to the unconscious desires of the public, he discovered people could be made to want things they didn’t need. Bernays investigated and applied techniques of mass-consumer persuasion, using any means to achive his goals. He was the first one to associate a product to an ideal, by associating cigarettes to the idea of freedom and independence, the taboo of female smoking in public was brought down. He was also convinced that the theory would prove useful if applied to politics for control of the masses. By satisfying their irrational inner desires people could be made happy and docile.

MY TAKE
I have had time to try and digest the information [history] in the videos. Ladysmith implied that the BBC was corrupt and that I tend to agree. Yet as I always try to do while doing serious study is build an exhaustive research file. But for me that is just the start to begin an inner reflection to see if those proofs align to my philosophy and way of life. Frederick Douglass (1817-1895) said “I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence.”
So as the study file grew and I glanced back during times of rest from digesting the subject matter I began to have a comfort that the presentations with proofs were good enough for me.
And to that end — I began to re-think how to get my fellow Americans attention about the many wrongs done to them by BP. That is my focus at this time to bring about good strong voices to stand up against the continuing barrage of lies told by the BP propagandist. Thus the following short essay I hope fits the needs for the American people to look inward and see how better off they will be to buy into that message.
The preface is below and I will send that to Internet news sources and hope that they publish to help build the advocacy effort.
To Whom It May Concern:
You have an audience they need to know the Gulfoicde is far from over. BP is playing to Americans as those who sell cars, sex enhancements, needless wireless junk computer games and all the other China stuff and at Wal-Mart junk.
Do what you can to raise the banner best as you can to let people know that untied we can get BP attention.

All too often in the past 75 to 100 years the American People have been deceitfully led to the brink of depravity in all ways and near extinction. By those corporations that have grown capital took our jobs overseas and put the American People rock solid dead last.
Today the Gulfocide caused by BP has destroyed much of the good will that the American People had toward the Elite Cannibalistic Predator Beast namely those many’ Warlocks controlling the Big Oil corporate world’.
Yet the fundamental problems that lie in the path of the BP Ruling Elites can be solved and quickly — Yet they must make that call for none other can make that move. “To spend the money needed” It is not so much the ill will caused by the BP Elite, as it is the American People loss of not trusting the Corporations given Carte blanche by our political leaders.
It is the gross neglect and carelessness that is now known about how the sudden and looming end come to our Gulf seafood industry and the loss of our once pristine Gulf Coastlines —– that has brought about an upset to what ones found to love as being an American.
BP without a doubt let our Gulf and the bounty found within to suffer an agonizing extra 92 days before bringing a halt to the flow of oil and natural gas.
Now, we must ask what can we do against such odds? We have more than enough people with a voice to bring the Big Elite BP Power Brokers to task.

I think it would be wise for you to view the films presented.
After you do so you will agree that the enemy is not outside but inside?
And on that note you will see how the things that have gone around the world for the last 200 years were promoted and brought to pass by the Cannibalistic Predator Beast [CPB]
And the CPB are the ones that have the set goal of world dominance and they are of that mindset predicated on them being safe from the masses of mankind and use their ill-gotten gold to swing the sword for all to obey.
So for any of us to have ill feelings for the dumb down Tea Party Folks or those Communist’s Chinese, Russians, Palestinians and Arabs is just once again playing into the hands of the CPB.

I’m already aware of the mind control that surround us since cradle. Dumbing down school system and entertainment being the most effective. We are being destroyed, and helping to destroy each other without knowing most of the times.
