Seems to me that NATO are comitting more crimes every day. How can they say they are protecting people when they have caused a revolution and god knows what terrible consequences will result from their interference
How many deaths have NATO caused? It’s a disgrace that cameron and co together with all foreign powers have been able to create a war in Lybia in order to detract somewhat from their economic iincompetence. BBC. Only fall into their trap and fill our news time with these rebels who are creating havoc to what was before at least a controlled environment.
However, one also needs to assess how many more would have died if NATO did not move in to Libya. In late March this year, NATO along with Pres. Obama came under huge fire for taking somewhat long to stop the crisis in Libya. The relationship between NATO and Pres. Obama is that both are really diffident towards foreign intervention because both know very well the mess that they previously created elsewhere, therefore moving into Libya was a bigger than usual dilemma. However, Gaddafi wouldn’t stop and neither was there anyone strong bold enough to say something against him in the entire region. Everyday for almost 2 weeks, all of us watched as the then feeble rebel fighters lost city after city until they had become almost a lost cause for Libya. NATO never wanted to send ground troops, its preliminary action plan was – air strikes. When even this didn’t seem to work thats when the extremely vital decision to better arm the rebels was the only solution to defeating Gaddafi and his mercenaries. And this is how far we have come today after months of fighting, NATO airstrikes, food shortages, collateral damage, and casualty but the bottom line is that despite the tragedies of war, majority of the people in Libya seem to be very happy that they can now live free from Gaddafi’s terrorizing regime. Thats important in a war; the good prevailed over the bad!
LIBYA, fear not. “Woe to him who builds his realm by unjust gain, to set his nest on high, to escape the clutches of ruin.”
