Three dead in Iraq unrest…
BAGHDAD (AFP) – Three Iraqi civilians were killed and 10 wounded in violence on Tuesday while police also found the body of man who had been stabbed to death at an unknown date.
Two of the civilians were killed and five wounded in a roadside bomb in Taji, 30 kilometres (20 miles) north of Baghdad, an area where Al-Qaeda-linked insurgents have long operated, an interior ministry official said.
In the main northern city of Mosul, a third civilian was killed by unknown gunmen. The body of the fourth was found in the centre of the city, regarded by US commanders as Al-Qaeda’s last urban bastion in Iraq.
Four people were also wounded when a bomb went off 70 kilometres (45 miles) northwest of Mosul.
