British Government: Intelligence from torture ‘can save lives’…

Britain uses intelligence gained from torture because, although ‘abhorrent’, it can sometimes save lives, the government has said.
In a report on human rights around the world, the Foreign Office said it has to evaluate all intelligence it receives “whatever the source” and that that intelligence is sometimes obtained from “individuals in detention.”
